MINFRA is not a platform company that found a mining vertical. It is a drone survey company that got tired of watching its own deliverables go unread.
UNITOS Aero Drone Solutions was founded in Salem, Tamil Nadu in December 2018 by mining engineers. Not by software people who later hired a surveyor — by people who had run the sites they now fly over, and who took up UAVs because the survey work they depended on was too slow, too exposed, or not accurate enough to defend when it mattered.
P. Ramasami, a director, spent more than forty years in mining, geology and mineral exploration, among them a period as mining head of India Cements. He holds FMCC certification from the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) and is a Recognised Qualified Person under the Indian Bureau of Mines. That is the sort of credential that decides whether a survey is taken seriously in a statutory meeting.
MINFRA was built for UNITOS’s own delivery long before it was offered to anyone else. Every capability in it exists because a client asked a question that the previous way of working could not answer — which is why it is organised around what site teams need rather than around what a GIS package can do.
