The challenge
The Corporation wanted to increase the storage capacity of Mookaneri lake and needed the existing bed profile before desilting could be planned or costed.
Our approach
A bathymetry survey combined with RTK photogrammetry, so the submerged profile and the surrounding catchment were captured to one reference.
The outcome
Bed profile and contour mapping delivered against the existing shoreline, identifying where capacity had been lost.
