The challenge
Southern Railways needed its track and lineside assets digitised into topographic plans and a base map, over more than a thousand kilometres of corridor.
Our approach
Photographic ground truthing along the corridor, then topography mapping and 2D and 3D capture from orthomosaics, with features marked against the resulting base map.
The outcome
Track gradient and dimension maps produced across the full 1,040 km, with lineside features digitised into the base map.
